Kittens!

Here are some pictures of a few kittens... We had 12 kittens by two cats this month. They each had 6 kittens, and most of them are black.

Extreme Overclocking a Q6600!!!

A Tomshardware team set the current world record overclocking an Q6600 GO on an awesome DFI DK P35 mobo! That 2.4ghz quad core cpu, which can easily run at 3ghz, was ran at 5.1ghz on liquid nitrogen! This is extreme overclocking!
Here's the artical: http://www.tomshardware.com/picturestory/462-overclocking-world-record.html
My dual core can run at 4.4ghz on air... I run it at 4ghz 24/7.(I'm running a intel 45nm Xeon E3110, which is identical to the Core 2 Duo E8400 BTW) Liquid nitrogen is defenately a different story!!! Of course these guys couldn't run 3dmark Vantage at 5.1ghz!(It is not stable enough, it would crash)

PCC Music Academy Camp pictures-304 pictures!

I finally got around to taking time and filtering through all of the 500 pictures I took. I have 304 pictures that I have uploaded. They are on my Picasa Web Album again.
Here's a link: http://picasaweb.google.com/Danielee.linux/2008FloridaMusicAcademy
It was very fun, and the classes were very good. I was able to practice <2hrs per day, and the schedule is full of classes, recitals, and food! I had very busy days, from 6:00 to 10:15. As you can see in many of the pictures, we were very tired as the camp progressed, and some people would doze off at the dinner table... ;)
It was very well laid out, and I am glad to have had the chance to go!
Enjoy the pictures!

Chopin Nocturne in C Sharp Minor

Here's a recording of me playing this Nocturne in Florida when I was at music camp. I just love this piece, and had to make a decent recording of it while I was in Florida! The Kawai Baby Grand was a little old, and the higher notes have a ring to them, but it was still a good piano.
I'll post the pictures from camp in a few hours.

Back from Florida!

I'm tanned, salted, and hopefully better at playing and understanding music.
I had a great time, and took just over 1000 pictures over that 2 weeks.
It was really fun to be in the Choir. I really enjoyed Theory and History classes.
I'll post a link to the photo collections online sometime soon.

I have the 4870 in my comp now... and I got P8.2k in 3dmark vantage@ 4.0ghz and max CCC clock... the 4870's fan is at 40% and is not noticeable over my other case fans.

Nvidia in hot water...

This made me laugh so hard.... Its so funny... I had to post a link!
5 companys working for nvidia are on the verge of bankrupsy...
Nvidia just can't compete with their new GTX 200 series... the price/performance versus the ATI's new 4800series... the ATI $199 card is beating Nvidia'si 499 card... and the $300 is right behind the 650... LOL

http://www.tomshardware.com/news/ati-nvidia-geforce,5818.html

"Mountain House (CA) - It appears that AMD’s ATI Radeon 4800 GPU has turned out to be a much better chip than initially expected and AMD’s aggressive pricing puts enough pressure on Nvidia to prompt the company to react. If you are planning on purchasing a GTX 260 or 280 card, you may want to delay until next Monday. Price cuts are on the way."

Spam!

Its strange, I started getting spam on my gmail account today. I got two, and they are almost identical. What did I sign up for lately? ;)
Well it does not bother me much, I make it go to the spam folder... and Ubuntu isn't going to get infected by any attachments!
I knew I needed some new mail for my empty spam folder! :D

eBay

On eBay... one of my 4 auctions/items for sale sold! Someone really wanted an BFG 8600GT, and used my buy it now option! I wish all the items would sell for decent prices in ~8hours after listing! I didn't need to put the item on for 10 day auctioning...

You just never know what people are going to buy and what price you'll get on eBay.
And I will not know about my other 3 items... unless they end early! I'll be in florida 9 days from now...

My 4870 is on backorder, so it will take some time for it to arrive. :( It doesn't much matter if I'm not home though! :D

I will post some pictures of us doing home repairs/upgrades when I have a graphic card in my computer!

Chrome BMX bike on Ebay

I am going to put my Royce Union Team Pro T-18 Advance Freestyle Chrome Bmx bike up for auction on eBay. Its a really nice bike, and is made very different from today's newest bmx bikes. The materials and stlyle of the bike is different. It has very strange handelbars. It rides and feels much different also. I'm selling it because I purchased a 2008 We the People bmx bike, and I don't ride two at a time... :D
Here are some pictures...
